Magnesium Anode Rod - Anode rods protects your water heater tank from corrosion by attracting corrosive elements in water, so they attack the anode rod rather than your water heater tank interior.

Just unscrew the anode rod from the tank to drain it and inspect it every 3 months.

If it is mostly eaten away, replace it with a new one to extend the life of the tank. Always keep a spare in your RV toolbox.

Magnesium rod is suitable for most areas. (Use Magnesium rods for water heaters.)
