Casting Magnesium Anodes are usually used in a small diameter anodes requirement, such as
for water heaters, boilers, water storage tanks, heat plumbing, gas
stations CP systems. It is the important component part with only one purpose to protect
metal tank from corrosion.We can supply the the casting Magnesium anode rod with different diameter and length.
Most popular and standard diameter in 14mm, 16mm, 18mm, 20mm, 21mm,
22mm, 24mm, 26mm, 28mm, 30mm,33mm, etc.
The inside screw can be in M4, M5, M6, M8, M10,M12,etc.
The main component of the metal bar that is replaced when the water
heater is maintained is magnesium. The metal activity of magnesium
is stronger than that of iron.
A metal having a strong reducibility is used as a protective
electrode, and a galvanic cell is connected to the metal to be
protected, and a metal having a strong reducing property is
consumed as an oxidation reaction of the negative electrode, and
the protected metal can be used as a positive electrode to avoid
corrosion. Because this method sacrifices the anode (the negative
electrode of the primary battery) to protect the cathode, it is
called the sacrificial anode (cathode) protection method.
Installation tutorial:
1. Please be sure to first turn off the main power switch and the
main water switch, pay attention to safety first
2. After the water inside the water heater is cool, to avoid burns,
prepare the capacity water directly under the sewage outlet, and
loosen the drain nut with a wrench or a sleeve.
3. Unscrew the nut completely by hand, and gently remove the
magnesium rod and other sewage.
4. Circulating and heating, you can clean the inner tank and
reinstall the new magnesium rod.
